Date: Saturday 21st March
Location: Tomtit Farm, Matangi
We’re so excited to welcome Sophia from So Floral back to the farm for not one, but two beautiful hands-on floral workshops, each offering a different way to work with flowers, creativity, and seasonal abundance.
Sophia is the founder of So Floral and is known for her relaxed, generous teaching style and her eye for natural, modern floristry. With a background in event florals, weddings, and creative workshops across the Waikato, she has a way of making floral design feel accessible, playful, and confidence-building, whether you’re a total beginner or already love working with flowers.
A slow, creative morning working with dried flowers in one of Sophia’s much-loved wreath making workshops. You’ll learn how to design and build your own wreath using a mix of seasonal dried florals, textures, and tones.
Choose between a natural cane base or a gold ring and create a piece to take home and enjoy long after the season has passed. This workshop is perfect if you love mindful making, home styling, or want to explore dried flowers in a relaxed, supportive space.Fresh Flower Pick Your Own & Bouquet Workshop
An afternoon immersed in fresh flowers, starting with Pick Your Own blooms straight from the Tomtit Farm garden. You’ll then work with Sophia to learn how to create a lush hand-tied bouquet that will make your friends jealous, or style a vase arrangement with confidence and ease.
This session is all about learning the foundations of working with fresh flowers, understanding balance, movement, and form, and leaving with practical skills you can use again and again at home.
